A word on anti freeze. The glycol in itself offers no corrosion protection.Quite the opposite in fact, its fairly corrosive,even at low concentrations. Hence the need for added corrosion inhibitors.

Without going overboard... the 731 factory spec. cam or equivalent works very well with a LCB (long centre branch) header .And a mk1 silencer gives an evil exhaust note too. Andy It intake headers

Is there more than one hole on the inter-carb rod for connecting the cable to? On mine the hole is at the outside of the 'wing', a hole closer to the rod/shaft should provide greater throttle opening
