- Balancing is nice on a higher performance motor. Using a harmonic balancer from a 1275 works nicely as does the double row timing chain and front cover(nice lip seal on the crank vs. leaky felt) Glen

- Easy question, its ahead of the turbo, not behind it. The rubber washer on top of the gulp valve is to tighten the top wire clamp which is homemade since the original little piece of wire went south.
