Napa was out of the bulbs, indefinite re-order time, no price available. Went to Radio Shack, and got the 7.5 V. So far so good ( meaning there is light, no fire, fuses intact). Oh, and by the way -

1st i usually cheat the other way, i.e. if I'm coasting to a stop I put it in a higher gear, ease the clutch out to drop the revs, than bang first. Seems to work best for me.
