This is correct. It should flash with either the hazard or turnsignal. If the deactivator works better in one direction, you can center it by removing the steering wheel and aligning the plastic ring

According to the wiring diagram on my '80 Spit, it is correct for the "hazard" warning indicator to illuminate with the panel lights -- at all times. My fix was to remove the bulb. Best regards, Ed

Hmmm maybe this is why my cockpit is so hot my radio is hardwired somehow so that it bypasses the ignition circuit. Haven't tried to track it down yet. One thing at a time. Ryan
