I'm not sure about other years, but my bell housing on my 69 GT6 is aluminum. The box isn't. An aluminum block would be nice, especially if an aluminum head with dual overhead cams could mate with it

Not so. The thing they don't fit are the single rail gearbox. But I think only a small modification is required to make even those fit. I have one on the 1500 in Huxley attached to a MkIV OD gearbox.

Hi Patrick, Joe and others, Did you know the Triumph Standard 10 transmission had an all aluminum one-piece housing and bell. It will bolt right up to a Spitfire engine and internally is essentially
