- Here's what I found out about gearlubes. I changed the oil in my '77 Spit. There was a small amount of shavings stuck to the magnetic plug. Drained and refilled with Mobil One synthetic gear lube 85

- Frank, Taking the wishbones and spring out isn't a hard problem at all but I think removing the spring/shock unit is easier. Undo three nuts(7/16) on top of shock unit and one bolt on bottom. Wiggle

- Well I'm not an expert but I also replaced with a DGV. I set timing to 10 BTDC (1977 SPEC ) I would get severe pinging,so I unhooked the vac. advance from the DGV ( I think it pulls too much vacuum )
