Hi all, my 70 GT6 is making some differential noise. I have a diff from a '77 Spitfire (FM65462UC) and I understand they are interchangeable. Is this true? My GT6 has O/D so it's the 3.89 ratio diff.

The Ford Type 9 came in among others the Ford Sierra, known as the Merkur XR4Ti here in the states. It's not the same gearbox as a Borg-Warner T5, unfortunately. Bill J /// spitfires@autox.team.net m

Just in case it's helpful, according to my factory Triumph parts book, the front vertical link part #'s are 209072 (RH) and 209073 (LH). I'll have to look at my cleaned up ones to see if I can find a

Welded was perhaps a bad choice of words in the shops case. I work on autos for a living and I have seen cases where you would think they had been. This is much more prevalent on aluminum head cars (

That's a lot larger than the stock Spitfire master cyl. Basically what it will do is give you a really good leg workout trying to apply the brakes. You should have a rock solid pedal feel though. I'd

I actually run 32 lbs in all 4 tires, since I like less understeer. (Richard, I believe having all 4 tires at the same pressure reduces, not increases, understeer). Am I on the right track? Yes Greg,
