- There are several good products for metal/metal contact. Yamaha makes a product called Yammabond (about 4-5$/tube) it is made for this sort of application. Problem is that only a yamaha dealer sells

- I don't know about the products you mention, but for the Hewland Mk9 gearbox on my formula ford (aluminum, holds oil), I, and I believe all other Hewland users, seal with Hylomar. It's a light blue

- I'd vote for Permatex Aviation gasket goo. It is that stuff that you paint on and looks like tar. I use it on VW case halves and never have any leaks there. The reason I prefer it over RTV's is that

- Bob, try sanding both sides of the joint to insure that they are true. One good method is to use a sheet of 400 wet or dry on a piece of glass. any low spots will show up. work it until its flat. Doi
