- I was lucky in finding an old Gosinger floor model drill press is good shape: The Spindle head postion has 6" of travel. THe quill feed travel is about 4" The BASE is adjustable about 24" (knee style

- BOTH! ;-) I've had head gaskets just start to fail... with a low compression reading between 3 & 4 at cold, but once the engine was warmed up the expansion of thealuminum head was enough to seal it (
