It isn't synthetic, but some friends of mine recently installed some bamboo flooring. It might be waterproof. It looks similar to hardwood flooring, coming in 2-3" wide strips. No financial interest.

Those red rags are very linty in my experience. When I need a lint-free rag, I reach for an old towel or t-shirt. What exactly is a "proper" rag anyway? Ken never go back to "never-worn-nightie" rags

In my area, northern California, I can't get a yard delivered either. The last time I checked, the practical limit was 3 yards. But twice I have gotten one yard mini-mixers from a local cement place.
