- Hello List, I am installing a heater in a 57 Chevy truck with a 454 engine in it. Thanks to Dave of this list I was able to obtain the original heater. The radiator cap on my engine is a 14 pounder.

- I think you should be okay, I have a BBC in my '57, ran a 14-16lb cap without any problems, (different radiatior, same heater core). Mike oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 194

- If you still have a cellular radiator core I would max out the pressure at 7 psi. If tube and fin core 14 psi is OK. Heater cores stayed cellular thru the 1970s without any problems from 14psi. Try 7
