- It would help if you identified your truck's year and make/model somewhere. Don't know what year you are talking about, but my '57 factory service manual covers it in great detail, starting on page 7

- Thanks for the information. The tranny is just laying on the ground and he nor I know what vehicle it came from? He did say that ring on the tailshaft was a parking brake. Thanks again, tailgate out
