The '49 cab has a drivers side vent much like the top cowl vent - '53 does not. Of course the '49 doors have no wing windows - the '53 does. I'm not sure about the mounts, otherwise they are the same

the mounts are different -the 49 has a single mount center rear and the 53 has mounts outboard of the frame mainly they were removed when the gas tank came inside as there was no access to the center

No, they got rid of that center rear cab mount by the end of 48. My understanding that all 49s had tank inside cab and two mounts on the sides. Bob aDler oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks

I believe it is only the early 49 (&, of course, the 47 & 48) that has the cab rear center mounted; I have a late 49 & it is the same as 50 (rear mounts are on the sides). Regards, Doug Pewterbaugh d

The 49's should have the mounts outboard as Bob has stated, also the other change is the way the door weatherstrip is mounted around the doors, on early 49's it was held in place with screws, newer 4
