I had my 216 professionally rebuilt around a year ago, and I get the same thing; just a hair above zero at idle, and right on 15 while driving. Sounds like it's where it should be. Brad Newman 49 31

Don't know if this is relevant to the 216 issue or not, but one thing to check in looking for oil pressure problems is the "correct dipstick".....especially if you've recently gotten your truck. Righ

want to add one other thing about oil pressure on 216 or 235s when i bought my 50 3100, it had a 235 it ran great but the previous owner said the bottom end was weak sure enough, it soon started ratt

To those that are questioning the proper 216 oil pressure. Book pressures are supposed to be 14.7 psi at operating speed and around 7 psi at idle. Remember that your oil pressure gauge is between 40
