Guys I found rear from a1969 chevy for my truck and pulled it out and this is what I found. Dana 44, 30 spline , 3:55 ratio the numbers are this: 18437 A30355 the housing has this number 030284 03181

Yes they do. and some will interchange with the drum plates while other will not. Now maybe some of the newer models may not have them but all of the older ones did. Pat 67 Nova SS 41 Art Deco chevy

Maybe I should say with "Mods" I have seen backing plates from drum brakes modified to work with disk setups. nothing a cutting torch can`t fix. On a brighter note the gaurds are avaliable thru suppl

If you can get someone to help you have them push the clutch in while you try to slip the tranny in. sometimes this will work . If not then a old pilot shaft and or aligment tool can be used to line
