Chris, Check the ads in the rod magazines of the late 60's/early 70's. You could buy a decent pre-48 street rod for 2g or less, while restored versions of the same cars were selling for 5g or more. N

Tom, In the early 80's I had a '50 1/2 ton that came with bias plies. The truck was a b*tch to drive. I plu some 235/75/15 radials on, and it totally changed the truck. Now it was pleasant to drive.
