- I am in the process of fitting a Gemmer steering box to my 59' 4/4. Would this box need 90 wt gearlube or something else? Is there any advantage to using a synthetic oil? Regards, John

- Yes your stearing box needs a lubricant and I am sorry that you live north of the Red River.(that condition can be remidied by moving to Texas where the position and location of your windscreen is y
