The tag is gone off of the side of my block. I have the head off right now do to bad valve seats. i thought somebody said thier are other number on the head and the block. Also the piston have a very

On that note, is there a way of identifying the head while it's installed? My engine plate is still there, and matches, at least year-wise, my '73 B according to Clausager. Although the "101" is not

Remove the valve cover ... you will find the casting date on the top of the cylinder head ... while this doesn't positively identify the head, it will give you a very good idea. Safety Fast! ... larr
