- I think much of this has been discussed in the past, already, but here is my 2c-worth: If I recall postings correctly, very early synthetics did not have the chemicals that expand the seals, causing

- Amen1 I have used Redline MTL/MT-90 in my TD's gearbox for 3 years and it is still like new and shifts smoothly at ALL temps including below 20 degrees F. AND it doesn't smell bad like hypoid stuff.
