This hasn't dropped up for quite a while. Some say 'MoWoG' is the name of a god that has to be appeased with many offerings of fluids and expensive new parts, otherwise 'he' (or more probably 'she')

As I understand it, MOWOG does stand for Morris Wolseley Group. Why? Well, MG stands for Morris Garages so the Morris part covers MG; the Wolseley part is obvious and two merged manufacturers are mo

As someone once famously commented "MG does *not* stand for Morris Garages, its stands for itself." MG was *derived* from Morris Garages but by the time Wolseley and MG became part of the same group
