- Are the 3 main engines peppier than the early (non-smog) 5 main ones? Somewhere I heard that the extra main bearings actually add enough friction to make a noticeable reduction in power. Bob Donahue

- Well, according to the published HP figures that doesn't seem to be true. I think what was actually claimed is that the 3-main engine is more free-revving, due to less friction, which seems plausible
