I have a question regarding the instrument voltage regulator. I think the one in our B is shot (it reads 12v give or take and I think it should be 10v). I think this may have been what has fried the

The only thing I would add to Rocky's explanation is that if the stabiliser is not grounded properly it will output a full 12v and not the switched 12v that it should. It is thermally operated so pol

This is a very good website ... thanks. The only question I have is related to the +ve ground issue. The explanation for the fixed voltage regulator says use a 7809T (9v regulator), but does not say
