Perhaps your pads are binding in the caliper, and not moving away from the disc when hydraulic pressure is released. The Haynes manual specifies that new pads should "move freely in their recesses,"

Carol, Actually, no I only replaced the two front brake flex hoses. Would a bad clutch hose have anything to do with my brakes? I haven't noticed any difficulty with the clutch. Philip Burgundy 1974
