- Why? Too heavy. Too much turbo lag. Too many mods to fit the thing. If you *really* want a go fast MGB, seriously, look into a Rover V-8. On your rubber bumper 'B the mods necessary are trivial. Lots

- Geeze, my fault, I wasn't thinking about the later V-6s. Still, it *might* be lighter than the Rover. I'm assuming such a new Jap engine would be aluminum block, so it could be lighter. Probably not
