- My son's vehicle was running poorly, after putting it to rights following an engine compartment fire. He reset the points and now is getting NO spark! What happened?? Bill

- If the points are the type that are held on with a nut and the condenser and coil wires have separate terminating tags check it has been assembled correctly. One of the insulating washers goes on the

- Thanks to all who sent help. Seems the distr cap is incorrect. Even though the spring plunger works, no contact is made until the rotor is loosened: if pushed all the way home, no spark!! Bill
