The Stag wasn't significantly faster than the stock MGC, although you will see figures varying by a second or so in the 0-60 (usually 9.5 to 10.5 range for both). Neither was quite as fast as an MGA

No, you just back them off enough to break any corrosion bonding and to ensure that the 'pull up' to the proper clamping torque is a 'sliding' reading. Probably a quarter trun is enough to do this. O

Did over 600 miles this weekend in the Interceptor, and got 21 mpg Imperial at steady 80 - 100 mph. There IS something to be said for having a large engine! Just wondered how MGB mileage matches that
