- Gregg, I've never heard of 1/4 or 1/2 race cams. In the golden age, the 50s, we used to talk about 3/4 race and full race, but those terms had no specific meaning in terms of duration or lift. John

- Mark, the 3 main was less stout than the 5 main, hence the change, but the 3 main can make more power due to less frictional loss. The basic problem is crankshaft whip at high revs. Its not accurate
