- Are the butterfies seating correctly? Shouldn't be any openings at all with them shut. Maybe something on the manifold allowing some air in, like a split vac pipe, etc. This might be at the other end

- The positive pole of the coil would work, but I think the best thing would be to connect that clamp onto the post where the main hot wire from the battery connects to the starter solenoid. -Rock http
