Juat a quickie, Has anyone experienced problems/difficulty checking the oil level on a 1979 Midget 1500. The dipstick seems to be in a very inaccessible postion (behind and below the inlet manifold)

I too spent hours and a few circlips trying to get them on. There is a circlip tool designed especially for the job, it screws into the brake pipe union and careful tightening with the circlip insert
