The first thing that comes to mind is the antenna. the shield of the co-ax is grounded to the car and to the chassis of the radio, This is not a good thing if your radio want's a neg. ground. LEX

Will, This is an easy one. From what your discription says-- fuel and oil gauges acting stupid, my first guess would be the voltage regulator for the dash guages. I don't know exactly where yours is
