Carl - If the engine is truly stock, it will run on anything better than kerosene. The stock compression ratio was around 7.5:1. I use regular unleaded in our TD with no ill effects. Cheers, Dave ///

I've used 87-89 octane on my 9.1:1 compression TD engine without knocking. However I usually use 93 octane. I think the TD engine can handle lower octane fuel. That's because of the small bore and sq
