- Anyone have any evidence of the age of a tire being a problem or is this speculation?. I can understand a tire from the 60 or 70s cracking and getting old but tires made in the 80s and 90s have to be

- Mike and all, This is only one minority opinion. The entire tire industry agreed on the 5 year tire point about 6 years ago and according to at least one tire dealer I spoke to a year ago he felt it

- Here is a recent article referencing the new Ford warning about tires and aging. Yes, there is some 'fear factor' built in, but Ford is at least not a tire manufacturer. Ford recommends tire replace
