Facing the flywheel end of the engine/gearbox assembly, it fastens to one of the bell housing bolts on the left side of vertical center line. Memory says that it's the one at approx 11 o'clock, but

The earth strap comes off of the bolt at the 9 o'clock position. The other end attaches to the rear inboard bolt that holds the left upright on the frame that the scuttle bolts to. See my article on
