Assuming the two broken ends mate up fairly unobtrusively at the moment; bearing in mind that they will be almost completely covered by the rad cap and bonnet, I would simply bridge the break on the

Does the same seal fit the J2 switch? If so I could use one also. I have heard that the cork seal is a bit unsatisfactory and assume that more modern materials are more reliable. Is this so? Ian Tho

Phil, the two originals which I have are as you describe, except that they are both slightly over 2in across the flats; about 1/16th over in fact. The chrome around the figures is also not there and
