- I had a B&D drill sharpener given to me and it works OK if you have enough patience to do only brief grinds at a time with cooling between grinds. Seems to take forever, and DOES require one to hold

- The place I worked had that policy . Some of our less thrifty people would periodicly empty their drill indexes in the scrap metal barrel (half never used) and refill with new ones . I was like a kid

- I have a drill doctor and have had the same experience with it that you have. It doesn't produce a decent clearance angle. All it can do as designed is to produce an approximate zero clearance angle

- After reading the response on the drill bit sharpener I went ahead and ordered the DD750pk model which will sharpen 3/4 inch. I will tell you what I think of if after Christmas. Thanks Larry Mac ///
