I use DOT 5 Synthetic....not so messy. I would think that ATF wouldn't withstand heat as well as brake fluid....but then our brakes don't get really hot at the salt.....normally. Skip

Turbo torque steer? Probably can fix that by modifying your drive train and relocating the center of your drive wheels? I assume front wheel drive. Have you already thought of doing that? Skip

If the drive wheels are not centered on the king pins, then when one wheel slips, the other will cause the vehicle to turn. Most front wheel drive setups have the tire center outside of the king pin.
