My original, unrestored BT7 has the driver's side mirror installed (by the dealer which was BMC in Walnut Creek, CA) on the wing/fender. It is a little too far forward to adjust w/o opening the door

Hi Ned, Can I adopt your mother-in-law? I'd definitely put the mirrors on the wings. The metal is stronger and it's easier to repair if you change your mind. Probably better visibility also. --Origin
