- The engine number in my newly acquired 100-6 is prefixed "26". That of my long ago BT7 was prefixed "29". Do those number indicate engine displacement? 26xx cc and 29xx cc respectively? Thanks, Ed W

- Yes, the first of the 100/Six engines were numbered 1CXXXX. which were 2639 cc displacement engines. Later they went to the 26D series which stood for the2639cc engine displacement. The introduction
