I have only checked the mileage on my BJ8 a few times, but the best I have ever got is about 22 mpg on long open-road top-down cruises with stock engine/head/HD8 carbs and tuning by Colortune. Steve

With my early BN1, I typically average around 24-26 mpg in normal driving and can get closer to 27 mpg in extended freeway driving. The engine is stock with the exception that I have H6s on the car,

I agree. My 1960 BT7, completly original, never restored gets 20 - 21 MPG. Both my tri-carbs (ground up restorations, BN7 & BT7) get around 17. I have played around w/ the jet settings on the tri-car

Hi Jim First of all converting your average highway mileage to imperial measure you average 22.8 mpg at highway speed. At 70 to 73 mph I average 24.8 mpg but on straight city driving I average 14.8 t
