It is stainless steel mesh and can be bought at many race shops. It comes in a variety of sizes. I believe 1/4" is the size on the Works rally cars. I doubt that it's much more than a Sat. job to fab

Rick, you may be just kidding about this.... but the balance tube size is matched to the size of the three manifold vacuum tube mounting outlets... 1" for the larger and 3/4" for the earlier smaller
