- These sealing rings are fairly common but the name escapes me at the moment. On Webers and DellOrto's soft red copper sealing rings like the ones on oil plugs are used. I never have leaking problems

- What I used to do on old bakelite was cleaning it with green soap, let it dry for a few days and polish it with barnabau wax. It always responded well to this treatment and held its original colour.
