- On my TR3 racer we rigged up some long bolts, big flat washers, and some old valve springs to make a mount that allowed some vertical movement in response to twists. light, simple,easily disassembled

- I bought some totally unusable TR3 intake valves back in 1970. Never heard a good word. I'd put that cam in a cam Dr. and have all lobes hardness checked and if all is well still be scared stiff. art

- the refusal to achieve a slower idle speed makes me suspect a vacuum leak. art de armond I've got the idle as low as it will go at about 1,000. I think I might get it down to 800 with some carb work,

- One of the locals put a 3.8 and 5 speed from a Camaro in a TR7 convertible and it was a very nice car. not as much grunt as the TR8 Holly conversion we did but still a very nice ride and 30 MPG. art
