I used the kit from Rain-X, which does come with a clear coat paint. Still, it looked really good for a few years then started to yellow again. Fortunately, there is enough in the kit to do it again.

Early TR4 had the same larger rotors as TR3, and the same larger calipers as late TR3A. So should be OK. Whether the increase in unsprung weight is worth the improvement in braking, I couldn't say.
