- It may be more cost effective to use existing gears from Hewland or Webster and modify the mainshaft and layshafts to make them work. That way you can change ratios when you wish. Not that I've done

- I would argue that argon would be better than nitrogen because with its higher density, there would be less variation in pressure with temperature. Its also more expensive though. Chuck
