Having two different thickness rotors will not cause any harm. Having one too thin will. If your mechanic can grind the rotor down to get rid of the ridge, and the rotor still be thicker than minimu

Sounds like the calipers may be at a slight angle to the rotors. I understand that there were thin alignment washers available at one time to square them up. Anyone know for sure? -- Gordon Glasgow R
