Do you need the chokes hooked up on Solex carbs? The answer is definitely! I have never seen the "starter" system not hooked up. This allows very smooth and quick starting even on warmer days. Gary N

The chokes on my solex's have never been hooked up and I haven't had any problem. I don't live in a cold area, I just have to pump the gas pedal a few times. Ken Datster
