I do believe the car is mearly reacting to it's new enviorment. With the PO, no loving care, so it "marked it's territory"! If the only attention it got was adding oil, then it leaked as much as poss

Steve you either have a bead leak, the valve stem is leaking or there is a puncture in the tread somewhere or a cracked wheel. Take the tire/wheel off the car and mix up some water with dish washing
