- I was wondering if anyone might be able to diagnose a noise via email for Our early '67 1600 (#08258) is a very strong and nice runner. Lately though, as the car is warming up, I hear a tapping noise

- Thanks for the replies so far! I should clarify a bit though. The best way I can described the sound is "tock". It almost sounds like something hitting either the aluminum valve cover or timing cover

- Have you tried seeing if the crank pulley is tight. i had a lot of trouble with this. Bill 70 1600
