The correct torque is 50Lbs. for 1600s according to my factory manual. I ran my 66 with 60lbs and had no problems because of the cast iron head for many years. I guess 65lbs won't hurt either. You'l

The 35# spec is wrong. Which book is that? That was the original L16 (1600 motor) spec, which lead to blown head gaskets right and left. ;-( I've posted a list of torque values. Handy reference to k
