Hi Josh and all One meaning of "imagining" is perceiving something fictional and I agree with that. A ported U20 with the mods described and some valve machining can go to 170bhp and more, I have one

Howard and All, Being a 1600 owner, I have to "imagine" anything U20 related. :) The head on a U20 is much easier to open up and you can take them a lot farther than I thought, but the real reason fo

I still say probably the best option in this situation is a KA-24, if you're going to do a swap. I don't know if I would or not. A whole lot depends on what kind of shape your current motor/trans are

Ronnie remembers correctly. I built a "Frankenmotor" LZ22 with L20B head and twin SU's. I'm not sure it was much cheaper than building a solid U20, though, as I spent about $2500 on it. That was basi

If all that Ron said doesn't convince you, here's one more, albeit very superficial one, The KA looks very at home in the Roadster engine bay! Who was it that brought that KA sway to Solvang this yea

"Couldnt I build up an L20b with better power for less than bringing a stock U20 back to life? Not to mention I could pick up a 5spd transmission for an L for $150 +/-. Unfortunately I know more abou

Obvious question is why not build an L-24 (four cylinder version) using an LZ-24. You can, but it's a LOT more work I happen to have a Z24 with solex carbs , has about 5000 miles on the motor. S1000.

the best motor would be a SR20 type there are several types out there , they are very light motor, weighs less than the U20, so it will improve handling also. I have one in my 92 sentra ser and the f
